Today, October 13, 2020, there was a construction accident on the property adjacent to the tower. During the incident a guy wire, which stabilizes the tower, was clipped. The remaining wires gave way which caused the tower to collapse into a mangled, metal heap. (see photos below)
The local 90.9 FM broadcast will be unavailable until further notice. This means that anyone listening through a radio (at home or in the car) will not receive the WOAK signal.
HOWEVER… WOAK IS STILL ON THE AIR THROUGH THE INTERNET RIGHT HERE AT WWW.WOAK.ORG.
