Still at work!

Well, well it has been a long time since I have “crowed” at you here on the blog page. If you tune in to the “Rise and Shine” Show you can hear me crowing most every morning around 6:00am ……most of the time. I will be away for a few days in March however. March 5th, 6th, and 7th I will be away from the mic so that I may attend annual training for law enforcement chaplains. I am privileged to minister as chaplain to Troup County Sheriffs’ Office and training is important.

So much for me…..WOAK is doing very well! Thanks to your prayers and financial support we are moving along with our up- grading and remodeling. Work is going on now on our studio building and as soon as these structural tasks are finished we will begin remodeling and changing the appearance inside the building. We hope to be ready to show you around when our 30th anniversary celebration rolls around in June. Hope you are as excited as we are about celebrating this landmark event. After all, you have been instrumental in us getting to this time in the history of WOAK. We have had many comments concerning the improving of our signal strength and quality. We are still improving at our transmitter and tower site and will continue to fine tune in order that our signal will reach as many as possible with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

A little advanced notice: Spring Sharathon is April 9th thru April 12th. Spring Fling is April 12th and  the sharathon will finish up at 12 noon at Spring Fling. Make sure you mark your calendars and get those yard sale items ready.

Finally I want to ask your prayers for Bro. Carl Evette. Bro. Carl has been faithful to spend his Sunday afternoons bringing you “Songs of Inspiration” for many years and now he needs our prayers. He will face heart surgery on March 20th. Bro. Carl has complete faith that our Lord will see him thru this. Help us to pray for a successful surgery and speedy recovery. It is still a question as to when Carl will be able to return on Sundays, but he is confident in the Lord and so are we. In the meantime we will continue “Songs of Inspiration” as God leads.

Til next time,

Matthew 5:16

Bro. Jimmy
